If you are a Thubderbird authority, I am sure you are saying this person does not know what he is talking about, because Ford only built Thunderbird sport roadsters in 1962 and 1963, and of course you are correct. However, going by the information available online, a group of Ford dealers got together and converted somewhere around 50 sport roadstrers themselves. We believe this is one of those cars. I am the first to admit I am not a Thunderbird authority, but I am repeating what is written about the 1964 cars. The were not built by Ford, but modified by Ford dealers, and that too makes them qwuite rare. A Thunderbird Sport Roadster, Convertible. A beautiful with just about every option available in 1964. Has the super reliable 390 cu in V8, automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, power windows, power seat, air conditioning with updated compressor and R134 coolant (cold), swing away steering wheel, factory wire wheels, and of course the ultra rare sport roadster package.
A very solid car with nice undercarriage, paint and interior. Convertible top works properly, air conditioning is cold, and it looks fantastic. |
