1936 Plymouth converted into a Truck
An OldRide member recently acquired this cool "truck". It was a '36 Plymouth 4 door that was built into pickup in the 1940's. It's getting road worthy, but not changing the body in anyway.

Some history on this is that is was a push car for a race car in Kansas. Note the front push bumper. It is made from the ends of a 36 Ford front bumper.

i wonder about what time frame this car was made into a truck. and what the ol' boys intentions were for it.

The father of a guy I grew up with cut up a postwar Buick to make a truck. This one looks like it was done well, with the rear section grafted to the front. Worth restoring as it was, similar to rods and customs from back then being restored today.

Had a nice 36 Ply coupe.Wheels look stock on this one.The fenders look to have been cut up.The nice grill and ship on the hood are gone but a little better bed and no fenders mite make a nice rat. They had lots better brakes than Ford or Chevy.
