DESCRIPTION

REDUCED PRICE! * NEW CENTRAL LOCATION * OFFERS, WILL BE CONSIDERED!
This is a very special and unusual Boat,(Yellow Jacker Built by The Roy Rogers Owned Company) This Yellow Jacket Fury Model is beautiful and everything is like it just came out of the factory.
A 17 foot molded mahogany speedboat Model 16- s/n 0314143; with unique Mercury Mark 78E mechanical bi-directional reversing 6-cylinder engine, with 70hp, s/n1167800. Comes with the original Husky A3 Tiltback Trailer- s/n 31940. Everything Professionally restored to like new with all original parts upon a solid survivor. The engine has recently been completely serviced through and through by North Island Marine Service in Anacortes, WA. While working well, the motor was thoroughly gone through and NOS parts were used to renew the Stator, complete Water Pump and all Engine Seals, and new fuel lines, as well as a major tuneup.
I have All papers and documents since new, including owners manual for the engine, boat, and trailer as well as all service records. I believe this to be the Fury' Deluxe' model distinction, made for special customers, with special colors and the transom cover. And may have been used in company advertising brochures. This boat came from within 20 Miles of the Company Factory in Denton Texas, where it was built and may have been one of the Custom-Built models for the owner of the Company Roy Rogers. There is nothing in the records to indicate this but it does not conform to any of the standard configurations and appears to have been featured in several adds with Roy, Dale, and Family. Found in many of the research literature. Records indicate that the bottom was fiberglassed to the spray rails in 1958.
the interior has a red and white leather interior. and padded seats.
Complete set of photos may be seen by request on Dropbox.com. Please send photo request and any questions, by email to me at [email protected]
PS: Roy Rogers won at least two, speed records in a boat like this with two Mark 78 engines; New Orleans to Saint Louis, and Long Beach to Catalina
