The 2008 Glacier Bay “2685 Coastal Runner” Catamaran’ is outfited with Two Evinrude E-Tec Engines (government approved emissions) each 150hp two-stroke outboard engine is in white color to match the boat. Special features include greater power to weight, Increased efficiency over 4 stroke (each piston fires every stroke vs every 4th as in quad stroke engines), Better durability, works harder and lasts longer with fewer parts (200 less than quad stroker); Clean and quiet with the toughest 3 Star ultra low emissions Certification from the California Air Resources Board; No scheduled maintenance for the first three years or 300 hours; Easy hassle free programed automatic user winterizing. Props are “CYCLONE” four blade 15 in pitch stainless steel.
The highest efficiency of any, compare: 20MPH at 2900 RPM, 10-11.5 Gallons per hour; 40 MPH at full throttle, 18-19 Gallons per hour. You do the math 40 miles on 18 gallons; Compare to any other boat/engine at any speed over the distance. Each engine has a 90 gallon gas tank and a 15 gallon oil tank.
At the time of writing (9/8/08) engines have 12 hours.
A 10,000 lb. capacity, “Easy Loader” galvanized Two axel trailer with electric over hydraulic 4-wheel disc brakes.

Four control, battery switch, (port, starboard, house, emergency) coupled with 2 high output Evinrude alternators and shore power 110V automatic battery charger/ maintainer; Boat should never be without power.
