How can I find out the original color of my car?
I have a 1962 Pontiac tempest LeMans. It has been poorly refinished a while ago. The color code in the engine ID plate says "CC". I have checked on internet and and "C" (not double C" ) means Cameo Ivory which makes sense if you look at my avatar. But I can find trace of dark metallic blue UNDER the Ivory color which makes makes me wonder that the ivory is not the original. So I am pretty confused and because I want to restore it to original color I don't know what to do. Any expert out there?
I appreciate your time.

The two digits are for Top and Bottom paint color, since two-tone color schemes were an option. That paint code means your main body should be C = Cameo Ivory and your Top or Roof should be C = Cameo Ivory.
I have seen on some data plates three codes: 1st Bottom Body, 2nd Body Roof, 3rd Interior Color.....
Hope that helps!
