Since a ford wont let you bolt a v8 to a 6cyl. bell housing
Does any body know if a 1980 straight 6 300 will bolt to a 61 sraight 6 bell housing or did ford change it like everything else?

the newest ford engine that will bolt to your bellhousing is a 64.you might try finding a flywheel and bell housing that fits your engine .make sure it will bolt to trans and fit mounting.M IGHT BE JUST AS EASY TO PUT AUTO TRANS IN AND BUILD DRIVESHAFT ,AS YOU WOULD HAVE TO BUILD MOUNTS ANYWAY.IF YOU HAVE ONE THAT FITS ENGINE.
