I have a real goody to ask, Anyone have experience doing a swap over
Hey guys, I am a retired Ford Tech, I left ford around 1987 before the E4OD ever came out and I have the missfortune of owning a 1991 Ford E350 clug wagon with a 351 W and a E4OD, The van blew the trans back a year and three quarters ago outside of Tucson Az and it cost me a fortune to tow it back to NM and then another 1,600.00 to have it redone but since I was unfamiliar with the shops I took it to the wrong guy and a year and two weeks after it was done it was sick with jamming into high gear and no reverse no nuetral and afrter it released from that it starteed shuttering on take off. then guys told me I had to pay again so it laid in my yard for I had no experiemnce with E4OD and now I am entertaining thoughts of a swap of say a C-6 in place of it and am unsure of any dchanges it would involve. I know the E4OD is hooked into the proccessor but I think it would still run without the hook up. I also realize I would have to rig a kick down and modulator line but what about driveshaft length and yoke and crossmember position and mount up. Anyone have any experience with this kind of modification ???
