Will my 1953 powerglide transmission fit in newer Chevy models? And would this include the V8s?

How NEW of a Chevy model? I doubt you are going to have much luck and the linkage and driveline placements are going to be difficult!

the last year the powerglide used a closed driveshaft was 54.the bellhousing will not fit up to a v8.

55 powerglide use external drive lines so I have to upgrade the rear end also

If you are upgrading I would like to buy your 53 trans and
Coupler I have a 55 powerglide.
