If so how do you think it will work out? The big block is a 454. I still have the original transmission that hooked up to the 454 that came out of a 1987 chevy suburban. I am trying to do all this to a 1979 chevy el camino. If that 5 speed transmission doesn't work would the transmission that came with the 454 work in the el camino?
