I have a 60 235 six. It is a 115 hp at 3600 rpm. They also made a economy option 95 hp at 3200 rpm. The air intake/air filter cover would say economy if it were a 95 hp. Also you should have a Chevrolet tag on the drivers side down by the floor board beside the air vent. Most models have the engine information on that tag. I'm sending you a picture of a typical tag.
THE 235 ENGINE HAD 135 BRAKE HORSEPOWER AT 4000 RPM . THE TURM SMALL BLOCK WAS USED FOR V 8 ENGINES.
