How do i know my 65 Mustng is a GT, it is badged GT but id on eng says it was a 6 cyl pink says 8 cy

Engine id marking says a T code when door jam tag is an A code, pink slip states an A code for 8 cy. Could you buy a GT option with a 6?

are you positive the door is original? if it has been replace, more than likely the vin tags were too. i ran into that problem on my mustang.
Are you sure you have the stock motor? During the gas crunch in the 70's, people switched their 8's to 6's thinki9ng they would get better gas mileage. There are other reasons for this as well. IF The door jam tag and the pink are correct, your car should have an 8
