I want to put a 454 chev into '56 ford car.where can I find adapter to use 55 ford bellhousing & 3
Anyone know of any such adapters for this setup? would the '56 trans hold up behind the b/b,s torque ? the current mtr. looks like a 272 or 292

to put the chevy or any rear sump oilpaned engines in your ford will require modifications to frame or oilpan your steering rod would have to go right through the middle of the rear of the pan .have seen this done years ago in hotrod mag on a 283 pan.they installed steering rod after engine was in car.i would not recomend the trans being used behind a engine with that hp .1 time showing off could kiss it good by.
