how much should i ask for a 1965 galaxie 500 2 dr hardtop
I have a 1965 Galaxie 500 2 dr hardtop. everythings orginal. 352engine, red, interior is perfect, all lens's , lights, glass, emblems are present, have a brand new set of never used interior carpeting for it. My grandmother is the orfginal owner of the car.. Her first and only new car ever.. lol .. Its been sitting inthe garage for many many many years (1985 i think) . There is absoultly NO ROTT on it. some slight surface rust on the decklid .. body is in great shape as far as no dents digs bumbs or rust. paint could def. be freshened up and will need to be restored for engine, brakes, ect. from sitting .. What should i start at for a asking price?

Steve, you can check out oldcarsweekly.com for prices. You have to pay for a monthly subscription, which is $20. I did this to get a price on a 1974 Lincoln Continental Mark IV. So price depends on overall condition. They rate cars from 6 being a parts car to 1 being in mint condition. Yours sounds like a 5 which is restoreable, not running but everything is there. Which would put the value around $2000 to $2300. If I'm looking at the right selection. If it's a 4, $3600 to $3900. If it was a 1...then it would be worth $19,500. Of course, that's provided someone is willing to pay that. I've got the Lincoln listed on Old Rides for $3000...only been offered $500 and $800 so far. It's listed on craigslist as well. Hope this helps.
