I know a 455 works, that is what I have now from my 430. Any responses would be appreciated, thanks. Any more comments on my 67 riv as far my rear end and my transmission to match up with the 454 would be great because I would like to add a shift kit in my transmission. Thanks guys.

I know for sure you will need another trans, Chevy transmissions are a different bellhousing bolt pattern than Buick,Olds and Pontiacs. You will also need Chevy motor mounts,accessory brackets(power steering, A/C,alt. etc.) Most likely will need a little exhaust work too. Not sure what style tranny you have now (t-400, PG, etc., as long as you get the exact same style tranny for a Chevy your driveshaft and rearend will work just fine. It's not a huge job going to a BB Chevy but it's not just a drop in project. Hope this helps you out.
