Hot August Nights 2013 Looking for three more classic car (72 or older) that would like to join us next year on a trip to Reno, Nevada for Hot August Nights. This year, in addition to the Hot August Nights experience, Barrett Jackson Auto Auction is in town for the 8th, 9th and 10th. With every entry, you receive tickets to Barrett Jackson. A double blast! Along with that is drag racing at the Nugget every night and cruises upon cruises at Sparks, Virginia City, the Peppermill, The Atlantis and downtown Reno. If you have never been to a Hot August Nights event, you are missing out on one great time filled with activities; auctions; swap meets; dancing; driving and more. Last year six of us got together and rented an enclosed carrier to take our cars to Reno, and then we flew up and met the truck and the cars and spent the week driving them around and seeing the sights and enjoying the time. It was a blast. The truck brought them home and we unloaded. For 2013 three of us are committed to going, so to fill the carrier, we need three more couples and their car. Last year the cost to transport was $2,000 per car with half being paid each way. It should be less this year.
