I just purchased a 1970 ford f-250.Is this th "Heavy Duty Special."?
The vin matches everything in truck.360 engine.auto trans.131 inch wheelbase. It also has the 7,500 lb gvwr, which was the heaviest offered in that class. It also has the heavy duty springs and heavy duty rear step bumper. It has the western swing mirrors on it.It also has the gauge cluster in it.It is a styleside and has a "custom" emblem on the rear side bed.It is not a contractor special because it has the gas tank behind the seat.It also is supposed to have the large heavy duty alternater on it.Icant tell because i have not been able to locate that info yet.Any help on this would be greatly appreciated as I have not been able to find much info on this. This resto will be a labor of love.I know this is not a collectable. My wifes dad used to drive her around in one when she was a little girl.He is in heaven now and i just want to bring back some good memories.Thankyou.
