Working on doing cab change on 57chevy 3100 have everything loose but steering column . all others I have changed had rag joint. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

The steering shaft does not come out with the column. You have to remove the steering wheel and slide the column up off the shaft. The steering box has to be dissambled to get the shaft out of the box. http://www.trifive.com/garage/57%20C...Manual/7-4.gif
