I'm especially partial to the first generation (1959-1960) posted:  May 6, 2008   mdduster      I am partial to the 59 Elcamino's, a buddy of mine is restoring one now. their is a pretty cool mid-60's ranchero which runs around town here, has the fake wood grain panels. posted:  May 6, 2008   apachetrucks      I am the proud owner of a 1979 El Camino and I can tell you that it is a far better car than the Ranchero. My best friend has a Ranchero and he is very envious of my car which is a one owner and has less than 60K on her. My car has the factory 305 with a four barrel and was ordered that way.
