where can i research V.I.N. number for thunderbird?
I'm looking for all the the specs on my 63 Thunderbird. Does anyone know where i can search the numbers at for free?
also, it has chrome valve covers, which only came on "m" code engines as i've heard. Did they also come on cars without "m" code engines?

If you post your VIN # here, someone can help you decode it.

Have you visited the OldRide Library yet?

It might contain the information on the Thunderbird that you are looking for.
You can visit the library at the following link - www.oldride.com/library/ford.html

Plus we are adding new information all the time, so check back often...we are always open!

There are many websites out there that give this information for free. You can visit the Library on this site or another useful site is www.tbird.org/DataPlate/data.htm. You can also go to www.decodethis.com where you get up to 10 free VIN decodes per day.

The best way to research your T bird is by contacting John Rotella . John maintains a registry of all years of Thunderbirds and he can provide you with much info about your car.
