1948 Pontiac interchangeable parts
I have a 1948 Pontiac Chieftain Im hoping to restore, and am having trouble locating parts. Does anyone know what parts can be interchanged with a '48 Chevrolet? Sheetmetal, Interior, doors, glass, engine stuff, etc.....

Yes, I believe some of the sheet metal is interchangeable, and possibly some of the interior and glass. Other than that you might want to start checking out some junkyards.

Try and find an old Hollander interchange manual on ebay. Generally speaking, expect to pay 75.00 to 125.00 for it. If you really want to build this car, this is a must! Good luck! Mark

I have found on Ebay Faxon Auto Literature, these manuals are very helpful, they offer manuals for body service and construction and also manuals for interchanging parts from Pontiac, Olds. Buick, and Chevy.
