I have a 1970 4x4 project truck and am wondering what parts I can use from other years from 67-72,I need a bed and doors for the body and a few brake componants as well as interior.I found a 72 c10 2wd parts truck but want to make sure I can use at least most of the parts befor I shell out the cash. Any help is greatly appreciated,thanks Fred posted: January 23, 2012       Answers (3)   retiredpartsman      fenders and hood are same .67 doors are different than 68-72 .could be location of interior door handles ,but not sure.check width of frame cant say what year but 2wd frame was 4 inches wider than 4 wd bolt holes for box do not line up posted:  January 23, 2012   mercnut      check L M C parts catalog, you can get a lot of information about your truck from their parts catalog, www.LMCtruck.com is their web site. good luck, mercnut. posted:  February 6, 2012   fumanchu      67 doors will not fit because the Cab is slightly different- besides the doors, the back glass on the 67 is noticably smaller. If you have rear leaf springs on the 4x4, the 72 may or may not have them as they came with both leaf and coil. I don't know it this determines the brakes. If the 72 is a cheyenne you should be good to go as they have leafs. The door panels might not be exactly the same, but you can buy aftermarket on just about anything too. all the windows/locks, etc are the same. Many GMC parts will work too, but not the grill/radiator support, as the GMC had 4 headlights. everything else will interchange 68-72.
