I am building a tri power for a 1966 442. The fuel filter bowl that I have with it is 1/8 inch for the inlet and outlet. I have been told that they did use this in the beginning but went to the 1/4 inch inlet and outlet on the fuel filter bowl later on. Can't get a positive answer on this. Is there any info in writing on this? Also, I have been told that the fuel filter bowl that I have was used on the 1961-64 Oldsmobile Starfires. Thank you for your help......................................blaze442

The filter inlet and outlet should be no less than 1/4", otherwise, an engine of this capacity would be starving for fuel. Even though you have 3 carbs on a tri-power, fuel delivery will be regulated by those carbs (and the driver).

I had a 64 Starfire. It had 1/4" on the filter bowl. I know because I broke one of the lines first time I changed the filter . However the parts man was surprised it was 1/4".
