Where can I find the ID# on my 1928 Ford model A. I do not have the org. engine.
I have the title with A ID# It has the year 1928 but it does not say pickup? Is there a number on the frame I could match?

According to the
Standard Catalog of Light-Duty Ford Trucks
the serial numbers are located on the left side of the engine above the water intake. Motor numbers were the same as serial numbers.
Motor numbers for Oct. 20, 1927 to December 1928: 1 to 810,122

I have worked for a man near me from Kitchener, I have learnt a few things, If I remember correctly there should be a ID number on the frame rail, but I would just go with the ownership numbers, and are you sure it is a p/u, we had lots of ppl come into the shop with a p/u only to find out it wasnt what it started life as, its the same basic frame any one could put a cab on it once they removed a four door or what ever body style...and a few were just four doors with the back end removed and the back panel moved up!!!You would be surprised what a model A went through in life...
