What is value of an unrestored 1963 Special Edition Principality of Monaco Thunderbird?
I have an unrestored 1963 Special Edition Principality of Monaco Thunderbird, it is #166 of the 2000 made but is more or less a basketcase. It is not wrecked. The title was lost years ago. I am wondering what it is worth.

The Kelley Blue Book price for this car in fair condition is $7250, but that's for a running car in need of restoration. While it's hard to give you an exact figure without actually seeing the car in question, based on that figure I'd estimate a basket case to be worth about $2000-2500, mostly because of the rarity of this model.

Hard to say without seeing it up close, but NADA guides rates it between $10,980 to $25,200. Saw one for sale a while ago (in good condition) for $31,000.

Worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. If you really want to know the value try auctioing it with a reserve of the minimum you'd take for it.

I OWNED ONE ONCE , THAT WAS A SPECIAL;EDITION 63+1/2 WHEN THE FAST BACK ROOF GALAXIES WERE BUILT . This ONE was 1 of 1200 built and the color was " DUSTY ROSE " !! I WAS TOLD THAT THE COLOR OF THE CLASSIC MAKES $1,000'S + $1,000'S OF DOLLARS DIFFERENCE !! A COLLECTOR OR RESTORER WILL PAY WILD AMOUNTS AND JUST TO PUT IN HIS COLLECTION WILL SPEND WHATEVER IT NEEDS -- HE HAS NO PLANS OF RESELLING IT .. THE CAR GUY WHO WANTS TO FIX IT AND RESELL WILL GIVE YOU NOTHING ! NEAR WHAT IT IS ACTUALLY WORTH . I REALLY MISS MINE !! GOT WAVES AND HORN BLOWING " FROM ALL THE PEOPLE ON THE ROAD .." IT WAS NICE AUTOMOBILE " LATER . Mike in FLorida ...
