Anyone have info on Chopping the top?
hi Folks...anyone know were I can find some info on bodywork and chopping the top? I have an old & "Very Rusty" Hudson pickup, I picked it up from an old farm, and I want to make a rat rod.

Check HotRod.com or see if you can pick up one of their archived magazines from a few months ago. They had a complete article on chopping tops and some of the best candidates to chop.
I personally have never done it before but I sure admire some of the guys that do it, especially on what seems like tough cars like 50's Merc's!

I did a chop job once and I will never do it again! I completely ruined the entire car because I couldn’t get the wedges correct.
If this is your first try don’t try a hudson! try something simpler like a Model A instead, you can cut the pillars and reattach the roof line to the body, very straight forward.
