is there anyway to get an untrestored classic car for around 500 bucks?

with scrappers cleaning up neighborhoods it will be tough. Watch craigslist and eventually an old 4 door from the sixties or seventies will show up.

Good quest. There is somewhere a classic car or a muscle car waiting for you.

This may sound silly, but I used to be a Conductor for Amtrak and when I was traveling on the train, we used to see numerous cars and trucks sitting in the back of houses or farms. If you have any Amtrak trains local, you might take a trip and see where the autos are located and reference them and come back later and ask the people that live there if they are for sale. I have found many, many parts for vehicles that way. Just a thought. But, do not go down the tracks unless on a train. That is dangerous and could get you killed.
