Typically convert. seats are narrower than coupes, I am not an Olds expert so I hope someone who is will jump in but from my experience with other GM cars they dont interchange.

nope the hard top is wider.I have 2 converts

Both are right. GM had to make room for the convertible cylinders on the sides so they had to shorten the rear seat. The shorter seats are a bit harder to get your hands on though.
