Hi. This may sound like a stupid question but hope someone can help. I am looking at purchasing a 55 Buick, midwestern car....paint is badly faded, no rot, no body work ever done a few small surface rust spots. Car is an intact classic with good engine and interior. My question is does anyone know of a reliable, good quality place on Long Island to have them fix the small surface spots and have the car repainted?? Also any clue as to what a good quality paint job would cost (approx??) . need to know as it will impact the price of the car I am considering. Thanks to anyone out there! Mike

No question is stupid. It's good to get some reliable resources when dealing with classic cars. with so much time, energy and $$ but into them you don't want to get hosed. I personally don't know of anyone to refer you to for body work, but I thought you might want to contact the Long Island Hempstead Plains Region of the A.A.C.A. Some of their members might be able to help you. Here is their contact information and website 248 W. Park Ave Suite 307 Long Beach, NY 11561 Club Telephone # 516-889-1089 http://www.freewebs.com/hempsteadplainsregion-aaca Good luck!
