I think you are approching your problems the wrong way. I would rather drive a "survivor" rather than nothing at all. With a survivor, you can participate in events just like the guy who spent 100K on his restorod. However, you can park at walmart and not have to worry about washing the bugs off every time you take it out for 10 minuets. I can testify, this gets old quickly. Every time I see a rat rod, I tell my wife, we should have painted the car like that! No cares, no worry. Every time you make an improvement, you feel better about yourself. Perfection is not all it is cracked up to be. These cars were ment to drive. Make it safe, make it reliable, and then drive the wheels off of it.
