If you are interested in purchasing a book Chevelle SS 1964-1972, A Muscle Car Source Book is a great guide for Chevelle owners. It will walk you through the process of identifying options and features of your Chevelle. You can find it for sale on the Chevelle Fan website www.chevellfan.com/sourcebook.html or I'm sure Amazon has it too. posted:  September 25, 2009   jalopyjohn      Selected as Best Answer Sure it was an option.Sometimes you would order a car from GM with the options you wanted and sometimes you got what they sent you.
