the car is a 1967 chevrolet Impala it had a big block original i bought with 350 changed it out for a fresh 350 and gears seem really low geared is it true that the rear end is setup for big block not small block

It really depends on what you want the car to do. It also will depend on which tranny you have. 4 speed? Powerglide? TH350-400? Where is the powerband in the motor? Lower gears ( 3:73-4:11) will give you out of the hole quickness, but if the motor isn't built for it, you will start to float valves. Higher ratios are typically street ratios. ( 2:70-3:42) Figure out what you want the car to do, then set it up appropriately. Have a blast! Mark
