I am restoring a 1966 GTO witha 389 Tripower,
My question is, I have one alternator bracket that runs from the alternator to the water pump. Do I need another bracket that runs from the alternator to the water intake neck on the intake manifold, for a total of two brackets.

No, you only use one bracket, the one that bolts to the water pump. I've owned my 66 GTO 389 3x2 barr. for 36 years now, so you can trust me on this. lol. I've added a photo of my engine so you can see the bracket.
