Real Mustang GT
Besides paperwork/documentation is there any way to guarantee if a 1966-1968 Mustang is a real GT, or had the real GT option ordered from the factory. There seems to be a lot of add ons, to make it look like one.

The only way to guarantee is with paperwork, Some cars have original documentation such as a bill of sale, from the factory. Many do not, so you can order a Production Report from Marti Auto Works, which will tell you exactly what the car was ordered with new.

On 67-68, you can get a Marti Report, but on 65 and 66 you have to go to the bottom of the car. If you look at the underside of rthe rear seats, there should be an extra reinforcement panel that the hangers for the dual exhaust are attached to. When replicating a GT, this is often the one unforgotten item that gives away the truth.
