I was told by CHP that if I can find a VIN plate from a wrecked or totaled truck that I can use that plate on my restoration as long as it is a clear vin in the system. I need to have a vin plate or it will be registered a special construction and insurance will be very costly. posted: June 3, 2012       Answers (1)   23dodges10      Ebay used to have sellers with cheap plates.
