remanufactured 235 cyl head source ?
My new (1953) Chevy 3800 with a 235 straight 6 had no pressure in cylinders 2/3, mechanic diagnosed it for me as a blown head gasket and started to replace the gasket when he found a really low spot on the head. He sent the head to some one else for resurfacing and was told there were two cracks in the head. I could probably have him put it back together & limp on for awhile but I would prefer to replace the head and have piece of mind as well as truck transport. I do not know where to begin to look for another head that has been completely rebuilt and mine may not be possible, I won't know until Monday if it's possible. You guys have been great so far answering two major questions for me. Want to try for a third? Any suggestions ? Thanks.
