What engine would fit easily into a 1953 Pontiac Chieftain?
Have a Straight-8 in it now. I would like to install a new engine. What is the least difficult replacement? Yes I am new at this.

If you are new at fabricating, stick with the old straight 8, besides, they are cool engines and when tuned properly are some of the smoothest sounding engines I have ever heard. To install anything else you will be doing alot of fabbing, and not just motor mounts but transmission, exhaust, steering linkages, driveline, etc. Its a big task!
