454 V8 Engine Type?
I purchased a Hot Rod with a 454 V8. How can I tell if it's an LS5 or an LS6. Also, the LS5 can have 360 or 365 HP, and the LS6 can have 425 or 450 HP. How does one tell them apart?

if the engine in picture is the one in question it has been modified . the only way to determine the HP would be to pull it and have it dyenoed .there were different heads used almost every year in the 70s .intake and carb look to be aftermarket .ifyou can get block and head casting numbers will check for id in Hollander interchange for you .
