the gear ratio is indicated by a number or letter code stamped on front face of carrier assembly at end of oil return passage.. non locking 1=3.21 to1 ratio 2 =2.94 to1 ratio.. a G in front of number is a locking rear axle. source HOLLANDER INTERCHANGE MANUAL.
