I'm just starting to restore a 67 rs/ss. The front subframe was stolen years ago, but i have a 69 frame available. Research so far indicates in 67 the base camaro had a tread width of 59" and the ss and z28 had 62.5" and 63.5". Also wheelbase on base camaro was 108.1" and the ss and z28 were 119" Other info I'm finding indicates there are no differences between the models. Tread width could easily be widened with rims but wheelbase is a major change and production costs would be too high to have different lengths of wheelbases within the same models. I'm not sure I want to take a chance on the 69 frame and then find out there's a problem latter. Any info on this will be greatly appreciated.

hollander interchange says that a 69 will fit by including the stabilizer bar and reworking control arm bumper.also shows both upper and lower control arm fitting. the 119 in.wheelbase was used for full size 69 chevys. you are correct in the wheels making tread width difference.
