Does anyone know if a 1986 400 trans out of a caddy, will bolt to a 66/425 olds engine?
Hi, I have a 66 425 out of a toro.and i'm putting it in a 64 f85.So I found a guy with a 400 turbo for sale.it's out of 86 caddy that has a 307 olds motor in it.I was wondering if it bolt up but also if a newer trans is as strong as an older one? Any info or opinion would be helpful. Thanks alot Dave

Hello,
I believe the current Hemmings Motor News has an article on this subject: TH400 interchange.

Hello,
Sounds like a cool project. I failed to mention I've been pleased with parts & service from Fusick. I'm not sure if they offer tech assistance, but it would be worth a try. www.fusick.com
