is my 62 fairlane a 6 volt or 12 volt system
just bought the car it has a 221 v8 and a generator points ignition,i would like to change it to a alternator & electronic ignition not sure how to do this or wether the car is a 6 or 12 volt system?

ford went to 12 volts in1956.first altenator was used ih1965.
