battery wires got crossed and smoke poured from the starter,I removed the starter,can they test it at autozone to see if its bad or the selniod switch bad and theres 2 wires that hook up to the selniod switch,which one goes where.v8-307cu.in.motor.72 nova.

You can get the starter checked at your local autozone, as for which one of the selnoid wires goes where; autozone may be able to provide or a local mechanic shop may be able to provide a wiring diagram; you may want to purchase a chiltons manual
