Hello......Hopefully I can help you here ,....On my 38 coupe the hood sides have a hinge that are curled and slide down the Center hood strip that is curled as well....Slide them in from the end that bolts to the cowl and then you can line them up side by side...once you have done this you can get someone to help life the entire unit onto your car, or do what I have done by bungee cording the hood in the lifted position, Tape the cowl bolt and square washer to the end that fits in the hole on the cowl,..Lift the hood assembly facing the front of the car and set it down in place...This is some what difficult, and takes a little balancing technique , I had to learn by fault since there was no one there to help... 2 people is much easier !
