my 1966 plymouth sport fury has a tired 318 poly dome with a (727 trans?) i have a built up police 318 LA engine that has about 350 hp however its in my 1978 chrysler lebaron and has a 904 trans with a lock up converter, i want to put this set up in the plymouth sport fury, was wondering if the long tail shaft fron the 727 will bolt to the 904 trans for driveshaft lenth, i know the engine will bolt right to the 727 trans in the car, but its has its problems too, if any one has experience is this field please let me know, the 904 trans has been built up to accept the more horse power of the 318 police intercepter, ie trans mount location and drive shaft lenths, thank so much for your time and knowledge

THE 727 AND 904 TRANSMISSIONS IN CHRYSLER PRODUCTS HAVE NO COMPATABLE PARTS.WOULD REQUIRE LONGER DRIVESHAFT FOR 904 TRANS.CHRYSLER ALSO CHANGED DESIGN OF OIL PANS IN1970 FOR 318 ENGINE AND REDISIGNED THE CRANK IN 1972,THE TORGE CONVERTER WAS REDESIGNED IN 1967 [POSSIBLY WHERE CENTER FITS INTO BACK OF CRANK [THEY DID IT ON THE SLANT 6 ] REAR MOTOR MOUNT WAS SAME.EHAUST WOULD NEED TO BE FRABICATED,CHECK CLEARANCE OF STEERING CENTERLINK FROM OIL PAN .
