I have a 1969 Ford Mustang Sportsroof 428CJ with a C6 auto. I am looking for guidance to find where the transmission casting numbers are located and how to decode them for originality. Thanks.

tag bolted on drivers side of trans should have id PGB-AFI stamped on it . warranty plate under trans U =C6 TRANS and Z = C6 SPECIAL TRANS. SOURCE 39TH EDITION HOLLANDER INTERCHANGE MANUAL.
