where can I find more info on my 77 C-10? (first sold to? how many were made, stuff like that)
1977 Chev Silverado C-10 F-44 package, 454, TH-400 w/ alison upgrade and shift kit, tilt wheel, cruise control, power windows, power door locks, power steering, a/c, clock, deep dish rally wheels (orig. aluminum center caps), dual tanks, dual exhaust, cargo light, owners manual, options sticker in glove box, anti sway bar. I bought it 2 years ago and it had a edlebrock 800 and an accel distributor (I'll replace them with orig when they fail), the bed is wired for 5th wheel/goose neck/camper. The tailgate is the series 1 type. the headlight bezels are the aluminum.

Just looking for any tidbits of info on this truck.

Hi silverado, Owner information for classics is nearly impossible to find, unless you happen to have a stack of reg. cards, ins. cards or records in the glove box. No one except for the DMV stores these records and obtaining them is like trying to break into Fort Knox!

It sounds like the truck was ordered or setup to pull with, back when gas was cheap! Hunt around for a build sheet, you never know where exactly the factory may have placed it but it could be under the seat, on top of the gas tank, near the heater box or ???

Didnt the C-10 of the 70's have an attached card on the glove box door? This may shed some light on the factory setup?
