Hi silverado, Owner information for classics is nearly impossible to find, unless you happen to have a stack of reg. cards, ins. cards or records in the glove box. No one except for the DMV stores these records and obtaining them is like trying to break into Fort Knox! It sounds like the truck was ordered or setup to pull with, back when gas was cheap! Hunt around for a build sheet, you never know where exactly the factory may have placed it but it could be under the seat, on top of the gas tank, near the heater box or ??? Didnt the C-10 of the 70's have an attached card on the glove box door? This may shed some light on the factory setup?
