searching for long lost 1939 ford deluxe, motor # 184900733
The Ford deluxe was purchased by my dad before he left the U.S. for ww2 on Feb. 24, 1942.
Just wondering if it could be found.

I am not sure if Ford's Motor # and V.I.N. were the same in that year, but I am reasonably sure that they were, you might want to check with your local license office, some states will run a search for a small fee,if not stop by a used car lot ,and ask them if they will run a Car - Fax for you, normal charge to do this is $ 25.00.
Hope this helps.

most DMV's dont go back that far.and car fax wont help you cause the vin# used is not 13 digits like they use today. I hate to say it but unless you just plain get lucky and stumble on it you wont find it.
