CAN NOT SAY FOR SURE BUT MOST STATES DEPT OF MOTOR VEHICLES HAVE A WAY TO CHECK VIN #FOR A FEE,INDIANA HAD GOOD RECORDS IN THE 70S. ON SALVAGE VEHICLES ,SO SHOULD HAVE ABILITY TO CHECK.

You can also go to a used car lot,and for a few $$ they can do a carfax for you as long as you have the V.I.N.
