Are the Firebird & Trans Am muscle cars?
I recently heard that a Firebird/Trans Am is not a muscle car. They are considered "pony cars" such as the Mustang is with Ford. Could it be that my Firebird is not a muscle car

Firebirds, Camaros, Mustangs, are all pony cars built to race in "Trans-Am" races. they are all short wheel-base road-race cars.
they are ment to be low, light, and fast.
Pontiac later used the name "Trans-Am" on there Firebirds.
MUSCLE CARS are bigger with even BIGGER motors used to DRAG RACE
