I want to put an HEI on my engine (a 350 small block 383). I replaced the firewall but I am not 100% sure the distributor will fit without "banging" the firewall back toward the interior of the car. I don't want to buy one if I have to modify the firewall to be deeper to accept it. Any thoughts on this matter would be helpful. Thanks.
